HAYLEY GRACE & THE BAY COLLECTIVE
Hayley Grace is an Australian multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter with an unmistakably soulful sound. The Bay Collective is a raucous seven-piece big band, featuring a full horn section, guitar, bass, keys and percussion. The collective’s diverse talents make for an eclectic mix of styles that embody the spirit of 60s and 70s funk and soul, with lashings of reggae, rnb and hip hop.
Led by Hayley, The Bay Collective live shows are loud, fun, cheeky and overflowing with energy. You feel this band when they walk on stage. Featuring a roster of the Byron Bay region’s most prominent vocalists and multi-instrumental talents, The Collective’s dynamic performances are always lively and no two shows are exactly alike.
Hayley is a powerhouse performer with an incredibly diverse range of global experience under her belt, having toured extensively around the world. Locally, she has graced the stages of Splendour in the Grass, Bluesfest and Caloundra Music Festival and toured with icons like UB40, Phil Emmanuel and Darren Middleton (Powderfinger).
Hayley created The Bay Collective in 2017 during an epic jam session on the back deck of her property overlooking the farmlands behind Byron Bay. After being invited to play at the world famous Byron Bay Bluesfest in 2018, the band clocked up an impressive run of gigs and residencies up and down the east coast of Australia in their first five years. They spent the summer of 2019 playing gigs and recording their debut EP, High Vibes, which is a high energy, high vibe collection of tracks to get you feeling good.
